The Neighbourhood Sharing Closet
The Neighbourhood Sharing Closet provides patients, clients, and residents with free access to clothing and other essential items. Dedicated spaces have been set up at our hospitals and community services sites, allowing individuals to browse and select what they need. Donations also support our partner organizations, helping us extend care beyond our walls.
What We Accept
We welcome donations of:
- Warm winter wear: ski jackets (no wool please), hats, mitts, scarves, and boots
- Gently used clothing in good condition
- Brand-new socks, underwear, and bras (sizes XL-4XL are always in need)
Where to Donate
Donations can be dropped off in the main lobby in donation bins at the following locations and times:
- Providence Care Hospital – 752 King St. W., Kingston from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Providence Transitional Care Centre – 340 Union St., Kingston from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m..
- Providence Manor – 275 Sydenham St., Kingston from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Community Programs and Services Building – 525 Montreal St., Kingston from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday
