Chaired by Providence Care Neuropsychologist Dr. Lindy Kilik, the Driving and Dementia Working Group of the Kingston Frontenac Lennox and Addington (KFLA) Dementia Network was struck with local clinicians, Driving Assessment Centre staff and Ministry of Transportation representatives in Kingston and Toronto.
The group’s goal was to develop a companion set of pamphlets for physicians and patients, as well as their families, to review issues related to Driving and Dementia and to focus on clarifying the Ministry of Transportation process.
The pamphlets are available on this web page and have also been mailed throughout the province, targeting Family Physicians, Health Units, Driving Assessment Centres, Alzheimer Society offices and their patients/clients.
