There are many ways for families to connect with their loved one including phone calls, FaceTime and Skype.
Families with loved ones at Providence Care Hospital can send an email to Janet Hunter, Volunteer Services Director, at @firstname.lastname@example.org to request help arranging a FaceTime or Skype conversation.

Please note: There is complimentary WiFi available throughout Providence Care Hospital. Patients and clients can connect to WiFi by selecting ‘PC_GUEST_WIFI’ in their network settings. Patients and clients must read the Acceptable Use Policy and click ‘Accept’.
As of Sept. 14, 2020, the following people may visit residents at Providence Manor:
- General Visitors (previously called Designated Visitors): must be approved by the resident or the Substitute Decision Maker (SDM). This includes people visiting for social purposes and/or to provide non-essential care.
- Essential Caregivers: Designed by the resident or the SDM. They provide direct care to the resident and may include family members, a privately hired caregiver, etc.
- Essential Visitors: Individuals who have a loved one who is end-of-life or very ill.
Here are the types of general visits offered:
- Virtual visits
- Window visits
- Social outdoor visits
- Social indoor visits
The chart below breaks down the different types of visitors, the visits we offer, how to schedule them, and protective measures in place visitors must follow.
Each Resident Home Area (RHA) has been designated a different day of the week for visits.
Indoor visits do not need to be scheduled but must take place during designated visiting times and on the resident’s designated visiting day (see chart below).

Please note Sunday visits are for special circumstances only and must be scheduled one week in advance by calling 613-548-7222 ext. 3160 or emailing email@example.com.
All other visits including virtual, window and social outdoor visits must also be scheduled in advance by calling 613-548-7222 ext. 3160 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.

We’re asking all visitors to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. We know these are difficult times, but our staff is doing their very best to help you see your loved ones. Any unwelcome conduct or disruptive visits may impact future visits.
