Cross Service Availability
Cross Service Availability, RPN and Unit Aides
Cross service availability enables inpatient unit-based staff to elect to be considered for call-in to a service area that is not their ‘home’ service. For example: a nurse from the mental health service, if selected through the Expression of Interest process, can be called to provide coverage to a vacant shift on a rehabilitation unit, or vice versa.
ONA Cross Service Availability
Cross service availability enables inpatient unit-based registered nurses (RNs) to elect to be considered for call-in to a service area that is not their ‘home’ service. For example: a nurse from the mental health service, if selected through the Expression of Interest process, can be called to provide coverage to a vacant shift on a rehabilitation unit, or vice versa.
