Experience Partners
Experience Partners are individuals with lived experience as patients, clients or family members who work with our staff to provide their perspective on planned initiatives, projects or changes. We believe that by including the patient, client and family voice in everything we do, we are treating the people we serve with respect, dignity and compassion, and are enhancing the quality and safety of the care they receive.

Resident Council
The Residents Council represents the needs and wishes of the residents at Providence Manor and works with administration to identify issues and develop collaborative solutions. The Council strives to maintain social, cultural and spiritual values which residents cherish by tradition (adapted from the Providence Manor Residents Council Terms of Reference, 2002). Residents elect the Council Executive annually.
Meetings are held on a monthly basis in the McKinley Room on Level 2 and are open to all residents. Minutes of the meetings are posted on Resident Home Area bulletin boards.
Quality Improvement Committee
Providence Manor acknowledges the important role of residents’ families and friends and believes in an approach to care that is person and family-centered.
At Providence Care, improving patient, client and resident care and outcomes is a top priority. The Quality Improvement Committee at Providence Manor helps identify and implement solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and care quality.
Family Council
Providence Manor acknowledges the important role of residents’ families and friends and believes in an approach to care that is person and family-centered.
Family Council keeps family and friends of residents informed and connected to the home. They offer support, education and a platform to share information through communication, advocacy, and collaboration.
Family Council is supported by Family Councils Ontario and is mandated by the Fixing Long-Term Care Act.
We invite family and friends of residents to join the Family Council – whether you choose to attend meetings, share ideas, volunteer at events, or simply stay connected in a way that works for you.
