Inpatient Unit and Rooms
Providence Transitional Care Centre (PTCC) has two inpatient units with a total of 64 beds, providing personalized care and services tailored to each patient's needs. Each room includes access to a shared washroom and is thoughtfully designed for comfort and safety. Please note: Private rooms and room changes are not available except for specialized needs, as determined by the care team.
Call Bells
PTCC is equipped with a call bell system in all inpatient rooms and several other inpatient spaces (e.g. dining rooms). Patients or family members can use the call bell system to inform staff they need assistance.
Lighting
Room lighting can be adjusted using the switches located at the entrance.
For added comfort, each bed has an individual reading light, perfect for evening use.
On-unit activation rooms
Our activation rooms are equipped with tools and resources to help patients build strength and improve their ability to manage daily activities at home.
Independent Living Suite
As patients prepare for discharge, the Independent Living Suite may be available based on the care team’s assessment.
This space allows patients to practice living independently or with the support of care partners while staff assess the patient’s ability to successfully transition back to the community.
