Spending time outside Providence Transitional Care Centre (PTCC) can be an important part of your recovery. This page explains your options for day passes, overnight leaves, and attending appointments while staying with us.
Day Passes and Leaves of Absence
At PTCC, we understand that spending time away can be an important part of your recovery and overall well-being. To support this, we offer options for day passes and overnight leaves of absence.Â
Patients may be scheduled for a day pass or an overnight stay of up to 48 hours. If you would like to leave PTCC for a day pass or overnight stay, please speak with your care team. If your request is approved, your care team will ensure you have the necessary medications and support.Â

Appointments
If you have an appointment outside Providence Transitional Care Centre (such as with a dentist or optometrist), we ask that a care partner accompany you and assist with transportation.Â
When attending appointments or receiving care outside PTCC, please request written instructions about your care and medications from your care team before you leave.Â
