During the month of November 2017 we want everyone who works, learns, and volunteers at Providence Care, as well as our patients, clients, residents, and family members to provide their input into our future.
In order to plan for our future healthcare services, teaching and research in the areas of aging, mental health and rehabilitation, we need your input!
Provide your input in one of two ways:
1. Complete a survey
Online: Available here or on the staff intranet.
Hardcopy surveys: Available from reception at any Providence Care site or downloaded here.
Completed hardcopy surveys can be emailed to info@providencecare.ca or dropped off to reception at any Providence Care site by November 30, 2017.
2. Participate in a Focus Group
Focus Groups are facilitated sessions 30 to 45 minutes in length. A schedule of the Focus Groups being held across Providence Care sites is available below, on the staff intranet or by asking reception at any Providence Care site.

Hello, Nov 2017 is well past; I’m sure you received lots of valuable input. I work for Island Health (Vancouver Island). We have a service for patients called WellWishes…email a patient in hospital (confidential, delivered by volunteers). I have a loved one now in your palliative care unit. Is there any way to send a message? Thank you.
Hi Jane, you can email a message to emailapchpatient@providencecare.ca. In the subject line of the email, please include the patient’s name and, if possible, his/her room number. Then in the body of the email you can type any messages you wish to send. Emails are considered confidential and can only be accessed by the Volunteer Services department who then prints off the emails and delivers them directly to the patient. I hope this is helpful!
