Carrie Anne Marshall
Dr. Marshall’s research aims to identify and address health inequities experienced by individuals living with mental illness and substance use disorders and partners with Providence Care.
Although her lab is based at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, she has collaborations with international researchers, trainees and graduate students. Her research is focused on social disparities that individuals living with mental illness and substance use disorders experience far too often – poverty, homelessness and precarious housing, unemployment and precarious employment, and social exclusion. Her research aims to bring these social disparities to light, identify relationships between inequity and mental health, and design solutions alongside individuals with lived experience to facilitate social change.
